The historical exploration group of Małopolska revealed the recent discovery of half a million zlotys hidden from the Nazis in a barn, during the German occupation of Poland in the Second World War.

According to The First News, historians have found the loot, thanks to the call of a woman who would have informed them about finding her husband on the property they both share.

Hidden in a haystack, in a crate under a thick layer of hay, In a town near Krakow, the owner found the tickets while demolishing the building.

In notes of 5, 20 and 50 zlotys, this money found from the Polish currency issued in 1940 and 1941 by the Bank of issue of Poland, created by the Germans during the Nazi occupation, were analyzed by the Małopolska Historical Exploration Group.

The grandfather and great-grandfather of the person who found the box with the invoices and documents were part of the Polish National Army.

They believe the money was obtained for theft or smuggling against the Germans.
