They investigate a German for the disappearance of Madeleine McCann

The Portuguese and British police are investigating a German suspected of missing the daughter Madeleine McCann, who disappeared in 2007 in a tourist complex in the Algarve, in southern Portugal.

He had previously been investigated for alleged pedophilia and was living in the area where McCann disappeared at the time of the incident, when the girl was four, according to Sky News. Then, the man was not the subject of an investigation.

German police reported this suspect to Portugal and the UK while he was already imprisoned in his country. This individual and another would be the main suspects with whom the detectives work.

This track would have increased the funding and resources devoted by Portugal to the investigation of the disappearance of the girl, while the British detectives expressed their optimism and asked the British Ministry of the Interior to renew the investigation for one year.

"Maddie" disappeared on May 3, 2007 from the McCann's rented house in Aledeia da Luz, Portimao, Algarve, for a family vacation, while her parents were dining at a nearby restaurant.

Kate and Gerry McCann have always claimed that Maddie was kidnapped. However, the case, although it has attracted the attention of the international press, has not been clarified.
