A woman was stabbed to death in a house in the capital, Tucumán. The main suspect of the attack was found wounded in the yard of a neighbor, a knife in his chest, police said Wednesday.
The woman has been identified as Lilia Elvira Perez (59), found murdered last night in his house in Bolívar in 1999, in front of the stadium San Martín de Tucumán. The victim was the mother of Fabián Díaz, accused of killing a man at the door of a party.
According to the doctors at Padilla Hospital, where the body was transferred, the victim was stabbed to the head, torso and arms.
Arrived at the scene of the crime, the police launched an operation to search for the attacker. In a few hours he discovered Sergio "Macho" badtti in the back of the house of a neighbor of the region, lying among the plants, almost unconscious and holding a kitchen knife in the chest.
The suspect has been transferred to the health center where he will remain hospitalized until he is convalesced and will be able to testify in court.
In the meantime, the judiciary and the police tried to obtain indications to determine the motive of the crime and the circumstances in which the alleged perpetrator had been stabbed.
