They are developed and manufactured by Volt Motors, a Cordovan company. The first batch would be ready in 2019. The company plans to expand in the country and Latin America.
The technology company Volt Motors, based in Córdoba, presented its first fully electric vehicles. One of the most outstanding features of these products is that they were designed, developed and built in Argentina. According to the company, more than 50% of the pieces are also of national origin.
The project lasted about three years and required an investment of nearly 200 million ARS. The only similar development in Argentina is the Sero Electric, manufactured in Morón and described as a quadricycle because of its small size, its limited autonomy (65 km) and its maximum speed (45 km / h).
The Volt E1, designed for pbadengers, has a range of 150 kilometers and a maximum speed of 110 kilometers per hour. However, its best quality is that it is much cheaper than a traditional vehicle in terms of resource consumption.
The centralized control touch screen, integration to IOT systems and a parking camera system are other notable features. The regenerative braking technology that converts some of the kinetic energy of the car into energy for the battery is also interesting. This vehicle has a more utilitarian variant called W1.
The Volt E1 will have a price of 750 000 ARS, while the variant W1 will be more economical to reach the ARS 650 thousand. However, the first hundred units of the E1 will benefit from a promotional discount that will increase the final cost to 670,000 ARS. Delivery of the first batch of vehicles is calculated for March 2019.
Volt Motors he plans to expand his activities to several regions of the country and to Latin America. Javier MoyanoThe company's production and innovation manager said: "The vehicle is even disrupting its design, taking into account the details of ergonomics, safety and pbadenger comfort, as well as materials and the eco-sustainable component – it's a car created from the inside out.
