Of 18 and 26-year-old criminals arrested after manhunt which had been initiated following the complaint of a delivery person from the Rappi app, victim of the theft of his motorcycle.
It all started in the afternoon of this Sunday at Ituzaingó at 7100, where the worker was about to deliver an order. At this point, he was surprised by the thieves, who threatened him with a gun and hit him on the head.
They then fled with the Honda-style motorcycle of the victim. Immediately, the delivery man informed 911 of what had happened and the staff at the sixth station began the search for the attackers, with troops of the Local police. With the physical characteristics of the thieves that the man had provided, an operation was triggered which allowed them to be seen.
Investigators managed to intercept the criminals a few blocks from the scene of the incident, as they were riding the stolen motorcycle, the patent of which had already been revoked. From then on, a persecution began which ended with the arrests: the younger of the two was taken at the intersection of Colombia and Ituzaingó, while the other managed to apprehend him in Venezuela and Necochea.
According to sources from the Departmental Directorate to the press, the weapon used to commit the aggression was not found in the possession of the suspects. However, after being informed of the case, the Flagrancia prosecutor Facundo De La Canale ordered the transfer of the two to the Director of Penitentiary No. 44 in Batán, after having indicted them for the offense of “theft aggravated by the use of a non-kidnapped firearm”.
