They reveal videos of torture in Venezuelan prisons

Ronald Dugarte, former head of the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Venezuela), revealed videos on the conditions of overcrowding and torture faced by political prisoners in the Caribbean country.

The videos were recorded between December 2018 and February of this year by Dugarte himself, who was captured in August 2018 for intelligence work in the prisons of the Bolivian National Intelligence Service in Caracas.

Dugarte participated by videoconference at the meeting during which the Executive Director of the Casla Institute and the Delegate to the International Criminal Court, Tamara Suju, and the Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro, denounced the crimes against humanity of Nicolás Maduro's regime.

According to their testimony, there were about 70 prisoners, mainly soldiers but also civilians.

"During my tenure at the Dgcim, I held several positions, one of them, the most important, being the depository of the Investigations Division, better known as El Calabozo, where political prisoners are incarcerated, "said Mr. Dugarte.

He badured that he was living "six months of terror" in the Dgcim: "During the six months that I worked as a guard, I helped the prisoners as I could, without any problem. no manager finds me, putting my life and my life in danger. "
