Federal Judge Luis Rodriguez on Friday held in remand false documents issued to the couple of Iranians arrested on March 12, while they entered the country with apocryphal pbadports.

According to Infobae, the judge also instructed the Directorate of Migration to initiate the eviction process of Sajjad Samiel Naserani and Mashoreh Sabzali, which will only be finalized when the ongoing investigation is completed.

The case

Naserani and Sabzali were arrested on 12 March after entering the country via Ezeiza European Airport under the names of Netanel Toledano and Rivka Toledano.

After finding that both documents had been declared lost or stolen, the case triggered the alarm of justice on the eve of the 27th anniversary of the Israeli embbady attack.

In Buenos Aires, Sabzali and Naseran have stayed in three different hotels, including two in Oz, in the Balvanera neighborhood of Buenos Aires, where a significant part of the Jewish community lives and works and where Amia works.

The Iranians were arrested at the Abasto hotel, a neighborhood close to Oz, following an order by Judge Rodríguez and an operation conducted by the anti-terror unit of the federal police.

Before the court, Sajjad Samiel Naserani said that he was living an affair with a married woman and they discovered him. That is why, in order to avoid the conviction for adultery of Islamic law, which is death, he decided to flee his country.

Mashoreh Sabzali, for his part, told the court that he had left Iran because he had converted to Christianity and that he had come to Argentina because He had been told that it was easier to get refugee status here.

The woman in custody said she left her pbadport in her country, where she was being persecuted, and met Naseran at a refugee center in Spain.

He also claimed that, if he was discovered with an apocryphal pbadport, he would seek political asylum in our country.
