Canicoba Corral also took advantage of the legal fair to spend long periods in Uruguay, as was the case in January 2009, 2012, 2014, 2017 and 2018, according to official information. The previous summer, when the conflict had erupted over the house arrest of Omar "El Caballo" Suarez in his absence, the judge was on vacation in a mansion in Punta del Este. "The person who rents the house is my wife for more than ten years," said the magistrate in the newspaper Clarín.

According to his affidavit, Canicoba Corral is one of the judges with the least badets. He reported badets to the Judicial Council for $ 2.3 million.
