"Under", in Norwegian, means both "under" and "wonder". Some 7,000 people have already made reservations to eat and enjoy the view of the depths of the sea in a truly unique restaurant, located in southern Norway.

It is a project of the Snohett architecture studio, which also created the Oslo Opera House and the National Memorial Museum on September 11 in New York.

The upper part of the restaurant is covered with wood, but when you go down eight meters down you enter a dining room that can seat up to 40 people and has a large window from which you can see the room. # 39; ocean.

"The fascination lies in this up and down movement of water through the building.The large window allows us to see the seabed, not as an aquarium, but as a real experience," explained Kjetil Traedal Thorsen, founder of the architecture studio. Norwegian Snoehetta, responsible for its construction.

Dining in this new restaurant costs NOK 3,700 (around $ 430) and includes a full 18-course menu of seafood, local ingredients and drinks.

"The goal is that 50% of the customers who eat there spend the night at the hotel.We are expecting around 12,000 people every night," said Gaute Ubostad, one of the restaurant's owners and from the neighboring hotel.
