This video shows how a cell becomes a living being and becomes viral

In the world of viral videos, scientific topics are not common. But this week there is an exception to the rule: a short film that shows how a life is formed Add visualizations to YouTube.

These are three weeks summarized in just over six minutes. In this accelerated period, we see in the foreground (through microscopic processes) how a cell crosses the stages of development until it becomes an alpine triton, an amphibian of the salamander family. A small egg that becomes a living being.

"In this film, we observe a normally invisible universal process: the very beginning of the life of an animal.A single cell is transformed into a complete and complex living organism, with a beating heart and a blood circulation", explains the creator of this piece. And he adds that the early stages of embryonic development are around the same for all animals, including humans.

The video is titled To become and it is the work of Jan van Ijken, photographer and director of Dutch origin. Before setting foot on the networks, the short film was presented in 20 festivals. Indeed, he won the Best Documentary Award at the Innsbruck Festival 2018 devoted to audiovisual projects on nature and the environment.
