Gushchin also assured that “those who received the two doses of the vaccine, in the event of disease, have a 14 times lower risk of suffering from it moderately and severely”.

The Sputnik V vaccine uses human adenovirus technology from two different vectors, Ad26 and Ad5, which are given as two injections. It is a technology that does not contain live human adenoviruses, but adenoviral vectors that do not multiply and are completely safe for health.

Until, the drug has been authorized in 66 countries with a total population of over 3,200 million, including Argentina, who started using it at the end of last December.

Sputnik V is 97.6 percent effective, according to the Russian Direct Investment Fund on April 19, after analyzing data from 3.8 million Russian citizens vaccinated.
