Three old 1 and 5 peso coins cost up to 35,000 pesos online

Of different denominations, sizes and minting materials, three old coins are sold on the Internet for more than 30,000 pesos.

These are three specimens that belong to the AA family, the coins of this group were put into circulation in the 70s and 80s. In 1992, they were in the process of retirement and are currently demonetized because they belong to the currency unit in force until December 31, 1992.

For this reason, these parts they are no longer valid to carry out transactions due to the lack of discharge power. Their current value is equal to the result of dividing by the thousand of the denomination they indicate.

From lowest to highest, a circular coin occupies the first position, with a face value of five pesos and which has been minted in cupronickel (copper and nickel).

According to the Bank of Mexico (Banxico), its issue date was given from 1980, it also has a diameter of 27.0 mm and a weight of 10.2 grams.

It has on its reverse the image of a feathered serpent’s head, which belongs to the culture of Teotihuacan.

The symbol “$”, the number “5”, the inscription “QUETZALCOATL”, the year of issue and the symbol of the Mexican Mint “M °” were also embodied.

The specimen also shows the smooth internal frame and parallel hoop-shaped beading. While on its obverse, it sports the typical national shield.

It is part of the AA family and was struck in cupro-nickel (copper and nickel), with a weight of 9.0 grams and a diameter of 29.0 mm.

The reverse shows this leader of the story, José María Morelos y Pavón in left profile and the legend “Un peso”, year of issue and symbol of the Mexican Mint “M °”.

On its obverse, it bears the traditional National Shield and the legend “United Mexican States”.

This coin is offered by the same trading platform until 10,000 pesos.

Coin number three on this list was minted in cupronickel (copper and nickel), it has a face value of five pesos. It was put into circulation in 1971, its diameter is 33.0 mm, circular in shape and weighs 14.0 grams.

According to the Bank of Mexico (Banxico), on the reverse is the effigy (image) of the general Vicente Guerrero, Mexican military man who served as resistance leader during Mexican independence.

It also bears the inscription “five pesos”, year of issue and symbol of the Mexican Mint “M °”. Smooth frame.

While on its obverse, the sculptural relief national shield and the caption “United Mexican States” are displayed.

This specimen sells for up to 20,000 pesos in places like the Mercado Libre.

So the sum of the three pieces equals 35,000 pesos via the web.
