Tobacco maker Philip Morris wants to ban cigarettes by 2030

It may seem strange that the CEO of the world’s largest tobacco company, which also owns the Marlboro and Pallmall brands, asks the No Smoking. However, it is part of their strategy to look into the sale of electronic alternatives like IQOS which heats tobacco without burning it.

“Cigarettes should be treated like gasoline-powered cars, which will be banned from 2030,” company CEO Philip Morris told UK newspaper The Telegraph in a call on the UK government to legislate on these policies.
