Faithful to the federal spirit, Filba Nacional arrives in Santiago del Estero, the city that will be the first site of this festival in its eighth edition. It is the second year of the year as it took place in March in La Cumbre, Córdoba. Now, on this occasion, there are four days: Wednesday, April 10 to 13. And what does the activity grid say? In principle, more than 30 discussion tables, workshops, lectures and recitals of the best Argentine writers.
The festival will be showcased with performances by the group of authors from Santiago de Chile Moles in the rain, in unthinkable places like the train coming from the nearby town of La Banda or from the central market. After an initial table dedicated to nap, in the courtyard of the old building that houses the headquarters of the municipality of Santiago del Estero, Juan Sasturain will provide the inaugural conference.
Closing of the program will be given with an open interview María Morenoreading the Logs (texts on the city written especially for Filba by some of the invited writers) and a party which, because of its location, will fly over the city. In the center, authors from Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario, Tucumán and, of course, Santiago del Estero will talk about what happens in the literature, combining it with themes that make the other art and cross our daily.
In addition to readings and recitals of poetry accompanied by drums and vidalas, nocturnal walks enlightened only by legends, girl tastings and books, the permanent presence of intimate texts (will be the possibility of writing a letter, that Filba will be sent back in one year), there will also be activities for boys and girls and a presence in spaces further away from the urban center. A training session for teachers ensures that the book festival will also reach reading leaders in the clbadroom.
Everything is ready to "take a break" and live four intense days of the best literature. This is how the organizers say. The full program can be seen in this link. Below, a summary, a small selection of the best of this edition of Filba in Santiago del Estero:
One of the most eagerly awaited activities in the entire Filba National is these meetings that provide hands-on tools from the best teachers in the country. There will be poetry workshops in charge of Alicia Genovese, artisbad edition of Eric Schierloh, of the story with Francisco Bitarand a feminist readings workshop guided by María Moreno. All workshops are free but require prior registration at [email protected].
Readings, interventions and special texts
Proposals that approach readers and writers from a more informal place and lend themselves to a much more direct contact. It includes, among others, 1 to 1 readings (where, in an intimate setting, literature circulates as a secret, in the hands of authors such as Daiana Henderson, Sofia Landsman and Maria Lobo) an audio-chronic intervention in charge of Juan Tauil and Federico Orio; reading from open letters to my worst enemy (written and read by Carlos Rios, Alberto Tbado and Tamara Tenenbaum) the possibility of counting a almost intimate diary writers Mario Lavaise, Carlos Rojo Cesca and Tamara Tenenbaum so that a few days later, they present their own version; a night tour with stories of terror (from the hand of Diana Beláustegui, Casilda Chazarreta, Mariano Quirós and Juan Sasturain) and a meeting with vidaleras in the legendary Patio del Indio Froilán.
Discussions on subjects that cross literary literature with Argentine culture in general and the most interesting questions of criticism. For example: IBorn Garland, Juan Sasturain and Gabriela Yauza they will praise the vagrancy; Lucas Cosci, Alicia Genovese and Maria Lobo they will discuss the reciprocal influence of territory and literature; and Francisco Bitar, Mariano Quirós and Daniela Rafael They will discuss the permanent presence of violence.
A "chained reading" where five poets of different generations and styles read: Elena Anníbali, Belén Cianferoni, Sofía de la Vega, Daiana Henderson, Tamara Tenenbaum. A meeting for teachers with Clarisa Abaunza, Inés Garland, Maria Lobo and Juan Sasturain. In the activities of the Melville Jones Library, General Paz District: workshops for children, adolescents, mothers / heads of households and librarians. Participants will also be rural school teachers from Santiago del Estero, winners of the Bunge & Born Foundation contest.
