Truck driver Tracy Ray Rollins Jr., 28, was arrested on Wednesday in Mildale (Connecticut, USA) on suspicion of having killed and abused the body of New York model Rebecca Landrith, reports the portal Pennlive, which refers to the police.
The woman’s body was found last Sunday on a ramp on Interstate I-80 in Pennsylvania. He received 18 bullets in the face, neck and chest. After examining the scene, officers concluded that the murder had been committed elsewhere.
The victim was identified through tracking receipts he had with him. There was also a note in his pocket with Rollins’ name, phone number and email address.
After examining the cabin of the suspect’s truck, police found six shells, several bullet holes, and apparent remains of flesh and brain mass. In addition, traces of partially cleaned blood were found on the front seat.
Rollins did not admit killing or even knowing Landrith, but said he took a woman named Leslie in his truck. Meanwhile, police learned that in December the model had booked hotels under the name Leslie Myers. In addition, the telephone trace of the truck driver shows that he was near the ramp where the body was found.
Landrith, 47, was a professional model. In 2014, she was a finalist for the Miss Manhattan beauty pageant. She has appeared in numerous advertising videos and appeared in various fashion shows, including New York Fashion Week.
