A viral video on social networks shows the most humane side of the protests in Chile. The pictures show a carabinero who can hold back his tears, while a protester approaches to dry his cheeks and take him in his arms.

In reality, it is not a single video but many shots at the same time. Most of those present were moved by the police officer's tears and the demonstrator's gesture. So, in an instant, dozens of cell phones were seen filming emotional embrace.

This is what happened yesterday afternoon, during one of the massive demonstrations that took place in Santiago de Chile.

"A pact of non-violence", one of the protesters is heard when considering the action. While the woman was hugging the carabineer to comfort him, the rest of the demonstrators were celebrating the moment with applause. After drying the tears in uniform, the woman approaches another rifleman and takes him in his arms. "Let's express ourselves but not badly, people," we learned from the young woman, in addition to adding: "Please, without violence."

After his intervention, other people also came to greet and shake hands with the police, who responded kindly.
