Travel abroad declined 15.7% last February, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Census on Wednesday. In contrast, arrivals of foreigners in the country increased by 18.8%.

In February, 232,800 tourist arrivals were recorded in Argentina, and arrivals at the exit totaled 408,300.

The airports of Ezeiza and Aeroparque have concentrated 88.5% of non-resident tourist arrivals, with an inter-annual increase of 19.2% and 78.3% of departures of pbadengers abroad .

In the remaining airports, the arrival of tourists registered an increase of 61.9% compared to the same month of the previous year, mainly from Chile and the group of countries grouped in the region. "Rest of America".

European tourist arrivals reached 57,400, representing a year-on-year increase of 9.3%, followed by those of Brazil with 38,400 pbadengers and 13%, and those of Chile with 36,900 pbadengers and an improvement of 65% . , 1% in the same comparison.

The average stay of foreign tourists was 13.5 nights and the highest average was those of the "Rest of America" ​​block, with 19.2 nights, followed by Europeans with 18.6 nights.
