The decree was issued a day before the meeting that the Brazilian president will hold Tuesday at the White House with US President Donald Trump.
The President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, has removed by decree the principle of reciprocity that traditionally distinguishes the Chancery from his country and has released the visa requirement for tourists from the United States, Canada, Japan and Japan. 39, Australia, announced Monday to the public an additional edition of the Official Journal of the Union.
The measure will come into effect on June 17 and will be of a "one-sided" nature, meaning that recipient countries are not expected to reciprocate to allow Brazilians to enter without a visa.
MP Eduardo Bolsonaro, the president's son and public admirer of Trump, said that he felt "ashamed" of Brazilians who are illegally in the United States and arrived in Washington as members of the delegation.
The decree is signed by Bolsonaro, the Minister of Justice, Sérgio Moro; that of external relations, Ernesto Araújo; and Marcelo Antonio, responsible for tourism.
