Tragedy in Peru: Two Argentineans died climbing a mountain

Two Argentine mountaineers lost their lives last Friday in Peru climbing the walls of the snowy mountain Caraz, located in the province of Huaylas in the Sierra de Áncash.

Rafael Figueroa, president of the Association of Mountain Guides of Peru, informed the newspaper El Comercio that these people were identified as Ian Schwer and Juan Pablo Cano. According to the authorities, the fall of ice blocks caused his death.

High mountain rescue police officers found the lifeless strangers in the snow at an altitude of 6,025 meters in the Parón gorge in Huaylas province.
