Travel Sale: discounts up to 40% on travel packages for low season travel

This Monday week of discount buy airline tickets, packages, accommodation insurance and travel insurance. The sale of travel will run until Sunday, November 24 and will offer different types of off-season promotions to domestic and international destinations.

Travel Sale 2019 will be exclusively for e-shopping and will include promotions up to 40% discount on packages and more 50% in hotels. In addition, some tourism platforms will sell medical coverage for travel with 70% discount.

According to the Argentinian Federation of Tourism and Travel Professionals' Associations (Faevyt) which organizes it, the promotion week aims to "promote the diversity of travel proposals and the growth of e-commerce at a key moment for consumption. in tourism, with a focus on promoting e-commerce and looking for a growing number of travel agencies to join the initiative ".

Faevyt's president, Gustavo Hani, said that "the idea is to work on the digital transformation of tourism-related SMEs and increase the knowledge of e-commerce travel agencies". And he affirmed that "more than 60% of agencies participating in the promotions are small and medium enterprises from different regions of the country, such as the provinces of Buenos Aires, Santiago del Estero, Córdoba and Santa Fe, among others".

Some online tourism platforms have already advanced their offers, which will be available from Monday 0. Almundo, on the one hand, will benefit from discounts of up to 50% in hotels; 25% on flights; and up to 20% in packets. During this week, options of 12 interest-free installments will be highlighted for flights with Aerolineas Argentinas buying with Visa and 12 interest-free installments to purchase flights, accommodation and packages to Gol by purchasing with a Macro card.

For its part, Garbarino Viajes will offer packages up to 40% discount for Easter, holidays in June and May, winter holidays and low season. In addition, it will offer hotels enjoying a discount of up to 55%, medical badistance of 70% and interest-free financing of up to 12 interest-free payments for flights and services. cruises in Brazil.

In the last edition of Travel Sale, last September, more than 1,000,000 visits were recorded on its website and more than 265,000 clicks on those of participating travel agencies. Almundo commented that they were expecting "a 55% increase in the number of operations compared to 2018".

At the beginning of the year, the rise of the dollar in 2018 caused the collapse of the number of Argentines going on holiday abroad and, simultaneously, the number of visitors from Chile and from Brazil increased by about 50%.
