Tribute to Raúl Alfonsín on the occasion of the anniversary of his death "Diario La Capitale de Mar del Plata

Ten years after the death of Raúl Alfonsín, the Radical Committee will act Sunday in tribute to his character Plaza San Martín. The meeting will take place at 11 am at the corner of San Martín and Yrigoyen, on the promenade that bears his name.

Ariel Martínez Bordaisco, chairman of the local committee, emphasized the importance of the radical leader of history and his ability to give clear answers to the problems still in the news, a decade after his physical absence.

"Alfonsin was a political leader who took on this responsibility and always had the sensitivity to understand what our country needed at all times." Raúl was the man who made democracy for us forever, but his respect for institutions, his justice, his moral values ​​and his honesty in the exercise of power are a fundamental part of his legacy, "he said.

"Alfonsín's figure transcends radicalism and is part of society as a whole, which is why it is our duty to continue to defend our rights, by strengthening democracy and defending the flag of equality, in order to always honor our dear Raúl Alfonsín, "he added, sending an invitation to honor them all with the memory of the father of democracy who is remembered.
