TripAdvisor has bought Restorando, the popular Argentinean restaurant booking application | Opening business

Restoration, an online booking platform in restaurants in Latin America, It was acquired by LaFourchette, an online booking application focused on Europe and Australia, belonging to the TripAdvisor group.

So, the company, born in Argentina but regionalized quickly, will supply 3,500 restaurants to the LaFourchette network, which offers online bookings in more than 60,000 locations in 18 markets. Restorando, until now, is present in Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay, Panama, Chile and Peru.

"This incorporation will help us serve more diners around the world," said Bertrand Jelensperger, senior vice president of TripAdvisor Restaurants and founder of TheFork, in a statement.

Short term Restorando will continue to operate under the same name, but in the coming months, it will be renamed TheFork.

Restorando employees will continue to operate in Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Santiago and Mexico City, "they said. Frank Martin and Franco Silvetti, the co-founders, will continue their operations.
