Argentinian entrepreneurs Frank Martin and Franco Silvetti created Restorando in 2011 with the support of two local ecosystem leaders, who invested $ 50,000: Andy Freire and Santiago Bilinkis, creators of Officenet in 1997 (they sold it to Staples in 2004) and the accelerator. Quasar Ventures.

Later, the company added a new injection of 500,000 US dollars in what is called "the seed". Later, it made a significant investment of US $ 3.2 million and in 2013, the platform received US $ 13.3 million in its third round (Series B).

The purpose of the sale "is to develop the business," Martin said.

He also said that the 75 Restorando employees "will continue to operate in Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Santiago and Mexico City". And he explains: "The management team, including its two founders, will continue to lead the teams in Latin America, while the teams of TheFork and Restorando in Brazil will join forces under the supervision of Ricardo Secio, current

The platform will continue to run under the Restorando brand for a few months, then will be renamed TheFork.
