Two regrets from AFIP complicate Prat Gay's judicial situation

Alfonso Prat Gay could be returned against his legal assault on Ricardo Echegaray and now he will face an abuse of authority after going through the Ministry of Finance.

Last week, the Federal Oral Court (TOF) 4, composed of Néstor Costabel, Gabriela López Iñíguez and Daniel Obligado, acquitted the former head of the AFIP at trial for an alleged false complaint filed by Prat Gay.

Echegaray was accused of using confidential tax information in 2014, when he headed the AFIP, to criminally expose Prat Gay.

At that time, Prat Gay was accused of joining an illegal association that had escaped the tax via a bank account in Switzerland from the family of late Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat businesswoman, whose former minister was empowered.

At the time, the head of the collection agency was referring to an account on the HSBC Private Bank of Switzerland owned by the businesswoman Lacroze de Fortabat, after a former employee from this entity revealed a vast list of different world personalities who would have avoided taxes by not declaring Your goods abroad.

In July 2015, AFIP determined taxes of approximately $ 250 million to Amalia Amoedo, granddaughter of "Amalita", for the detection of undeclared funds.
