Lucas's family blasted the failure of justice and said it was a matter of "easy release". "A machine is not worth the life of a child," said the boy's mother, referring to the trimmer stolen by the young man.

"It's the bosses and us the poor.If my son made a mistake, he could pay for it, but he killed him like a dog," said the woman.

On the periphery of the courts, there were incidents with relatives who reprimanded the police.

Sergeant Murua's defense attorney, lawyer Carlos Hairabedian, pointed out that the decision had been made as planned. Murúa will continue to fulfill his duties as a police officer and freely.

The defense argued that the police ran to the early offender and that "because of the imperfections on the ground" he shot "without aiming".

The autopsy revealed that the projectile had penetrated the young man's neck and had gone out through the right eye.
