UK police will not investigate Prince Andrew’s child sexual abuse charge

British police announced that will take no action against Prince Andrew following an examination requested by an accuser of Jeffrey Epstein who claims to have sexually assaulted her.

Virginia Giuffre claims she was trafficked by Epstein to have sex with Andrés in London in 2001, when she was 17 and a minor under US law. She is suing the prince in an American court.

Andrew, the second son of Queen Elizabeth II, denies the charges. He told the BBC in an interview in 2019 that he had never had sex with Giuffre, saying: “This did not happen.”

In August, the London Metropolitan Police began a review of the allegations relating to convicted sex offender Epstein. Police chief Cressida Dick said at the time that “no one is above the law”.

“As part of the proceedings, Metropolitan Police officers reviewed a document released in August 2021 as part of a United States civil action,” Scotland Yard said in a statement Sunday evening. “This review is complete and we will not take any further action.”He added, adding that he will continue to collaborate with other agencies as part of the investigation.

He also said he would take no action on allegations, first reported by Channel 4 News, that Epstein’s alleged accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell trafficked, cared for and abused women and girls in the Kingdom. -United.

Maxwell, a British socialite, is in a prison in the United States awaiting trial for recruiting teenagers to be abused by Epstein.

The force said it remains in contact with other law enforcement agencies investigating issues associated with Epstein.

After weeks of legal skirmishes, Andrés’ lawyers admitted late last month that the document had been officially served with Giuffre’s trial. The prince is due to submit responses to the complaints by October 29.

Andrés, 61, has been banned from royal public office amid the scandal over his friendship with convicted pedophile Epstein, who committed suicide in a federal detention center in New York City in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Last Thursday, the Duke of York was granted access to a confidential document which his lawyers say could put an end to the alleged sexual abuse case he is accused of.

According to Forbes magazine, Prince Andrew’s legal team has been given permission to accept a sealed deal between Giuffre and the late friend of Queen Elizabeth’s son, financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Lawyers for the prince believe, according to Forbes, the documents could give Andrew immunity in this lawsuit.

New York judge Loretta Preska, who is in charge of the case, has agreed to allow Andrés of England’s legal team to receive a copy of that agreement, with the consent of Epstein’s heirs.

Giuffre’s lawyer David Boies agreed that Elizabeth II’s son has the right to review these sealed documents, although considers that it is “irrelevant” for the current trial.

The Florida-state deal between Epstein and Giuffre in 2009 ended one of dozens of civil lawsuits filed against the mogul by women who allege he sexually assaulted them while they were were minor and were resolved privately with economic deals that were not publicly disclosed.
