British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has advanced the ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles in the UK until 2030, as part of the “green industrial revolution” that it intends to become a generator of jobs.

“After extensive consultations with car manufacturers, the Prime Minister confirms that the UK will stop selling new gasoline and diesel cars and utility vehicles by 2030,” the statement said.
In February, Boris Johnson had advanced five years, until 2035, this goal. From now on, only sales of hybrid vehicles will be authorized until that date.

However, he regrets that Boris Johnson “maintains other speculative solutions, such as nuclear and hydrogen from fossil fuels”.
