Under the sea: the incredible submerged restaurant that runs in Norway

Designed by the architecture studio Snoehetta, the same as the one who created the Oslo Opera House, it offers a meal of around 3700 crowns (about 430 dollars).

Besides the meaning "Below" in English, "Under" also means "wonder" in Norwegian.

The upper part of the building is covered with wooden planks similar to those of a sauna.

"The fascination lies in this up and down movement of water through the building," said the founder of the studio who designed the restaurant, Kjetil Traedal Thorsen. "The big window allows us to see the seabed, not as an aquarium, but as a real experience", he added.

Once inside, the guests find a large dining room that can accommodate 40 people. designed so that reflections in the glbad wall are minimal.
