The measure is based on a recommendation by the Acting Secretary of National Security, Kevin McAleenan, dated last Monday.
"Conditions in Venezuela threaten the safety of pbadengers, aircraft and crews flying to and from this country", states the opinion of McAleenan, quoted in the recitals of the provision.
For this reason, "the public interest demands the immediate suspension of all commercial pbadenger and cargo flights between the United States and Venezuela", adds the resolution, published on the website of the Ministry of Transport.
