The Douglas County authorities in Denver said that there were two inmates but that there could be a third attacker.
Several students were injured Tuesday during a shootout at a school in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado. Holly Nicholson-Kluth, deputy secretary of Douglas County, said that two suspects were in detention and that there was "provisionally" a third.
The incident occurred at Highlands Ranch's STEM school and the manager said of a third striker in statements collected by CNN: "They still clean the school, we do not know it." In addition, he acknowledged, "We have several students injured."
It's a school that has about 1,800 students.
