On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary, the United States Secret Service published throughout this month a series of unpublished photographs of the events of September 11, 2001 and their consequences.
Through its Twitter account, this body publishes a series of pictures in which we can appreciate the scale of the tragedy and the serious material and human damage of the event.
In one of the images you can see the twin towers of New York, which belonged to the World Trade Center, smoky after the impact of the two planes, as well as the streets near the two buildings when they had already collapsed.
Another of the clichés shared by him Secret Service of the country chaired by Democrat Joe Biden is that of the crisis cabinet which took place moments after experiencing the attack.
At the time, then-Chief of Secret Service Brian Stafford was leading meetings that were also attended by members of his team.
On the other hand, the US federal agency reported that tomorrow, when the anniversary is celebrated, unpublished interviews with current and former Secret Service employees will be released, which will serve to honor the lives lost that day.
In addition, despite the fact that there are no threats against New York, in recent days the security of the great American city has been stepped up for the celebration of the twentieth anniversary.
The years feed the theories
The official US version states that the Twin Towers collapsed, despite being designed to withstand the impact of an aircraft, due to the crash itself and the fuel-fed fires. These two factors created a combination that the two towers could not resist.
Yet today a large percentage of the American population firmly believe that the official version is false and that the “truth” has not been explained.
