US justice convicted Chapo Guzman of drug trafficking and sentenced to life in prison

After three months of intense hearings, the popular Brooklyn jury on Tuesday sentenced Joaquin Guzman Loera, better known as Chapo Guzman. for traffic over twenty years more than 200 tons of cocaine between Mexico and the United States as well as marijuana, heroin and methamphetamines.

The People's Jury, after six days of deliberations, subscribed to the ten counts charged by the prosecution to the former leader of the Sinaloa cartel and consequently could sentence him to life imprisonment. When Mexico transferred the drug trafficker to the United States after the extradition request, the two countries agreed that he would not be sentenced to death if he was found guilty.

El Chapo has four lawyersJeffrey Lichtman, Marc Fernich, Eduardo Balarezo and William Purpura.
