US warns Iran nuclear deal negotiation cannot go on indefinitely

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken assured this Thursday from Kuwait concerning negotiations with Tehran to reach a nuclear deal which for the moment “the ball is in Iran’s court”, but warned that it “cannot go on indefinitely”.

“Iran must decide if it will comply again (with the nuclear deal). The ball is in Iran’s court. We’ll see if they’re ready to come back. We are attached to diplomacy, but this cannot go on indefinitely, ”he said during a televised press conference he gave with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Ahmed Naser al Sabah.

Blinken thus referred to the negotiations that have been taking place in Vienna since the beginning of April so that The United States is going back on the agreement reached in 2015 to set limits on Iran’s nuclear program, which it left in 2018 under Donald Trump’s administration, and for Iran to fully comply with it.

Blinken pointed out that they were discussing with some allied countries, including Kuwait, the the possibility of welcoming Afghans who have applied for asylum in the United States “temporarily” to their territory “until they complete the procedures” to grant them visas.
