The Holy See press room reported on Friday that during the month of July, the general audiences that Pope Francis presides over on Wednesday will be suspended, as every year, and will resume in August.

“According to what was communicated by the Prefecture of the Pontifical House, the general audiences will be suspended throughout the month of July due to the usual summer break and will resume on Wednesday August 4,” said the Vatican.

However, he stressed that the Pope would maintain contact with the faithful “with the prayer of the Angelus”.

Since May 12, the Holy Father has resumed general audiences with a limited number of faithful in the Patio de San Dámaso, following the rules to avoid COVID-19 infections.
