Venezuela: National Guard blocked the opposition caravan heading towards the border

Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) Fund they blocked with trucks the pbadage of the caravan buses in which deputies lined up on Juan Guaidó travel to the state of Táchira, on the border with Colombia, to coordinate the entry of international humanitarian aid on Saturday 23.

The situation, reported by Twitter, was recorded in the La Cabrera Tunnel, in the Valencia section of the Central Regional Road and at several other points along the route. Some MEPs have been able to go beyond the blocked areas, but others did not let them move forward. In addition, the caravan is followed by three bicycles but we do not know if they belong to any Venezuelan government organization.

The deputy Richard Blanco has made the situation responsible for the "minority of the national armed forces, the one who does not want to incorporate the restoration of the democratic thread". He added: "It's about overcoming obstacles, but what we do know is that the city is decided"

MP Arnoldo Benítez, meanwhile, denounced the fact that the troops are repressed tear gas. "They are instructed to prevent members from reaching the border, but they will not get it. They threw tear gas and put obstacles in our path, but we managed to continue and, whatever happens, we will arrive, "he said.
