Héctor “H”, who was partner of Victoria Salazar, the woman killed by police on March 27 in Tulum, was linked to the crime process of sexual abuse to the detriment of one of the Salvadorian girls.

According to a statement released by the Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), they were prosecutors specializing in crimes against sexual freedom and free personality development who managed to get a controlling judge to dictate the connection, which was documented in Administrative File 27/2021.

“The social representation presented the evidence obtained by experts in the fields of psychology, medicine, field criminology and investigative policing which made it possible to demonstrate the probable participation of the accused in the unlawful act, taking advantage of the family’s proximity to the victim, “the document reported.

In addition, as a precautionary measure, he was ordered to be held in informal preventive detention for the duration of the criminal proceedings. While social representation was granted two months to complete the additional investigation.

Carlos Joaquín, governor of Quintana Roo, announced that on March 31, Héctor “H” was arrested by police in Tulum.

“The partner of this sadly deceased woman, a Salvadoran, could be arrested. Victoria, and that she and one of the girls had been abused. Also today the arrest was made», Explained the President of the State.

El Salvador President Nayib Bukele said on Twitter that Victoria had denounced her partner weeks ago and taken her daughter to a shelter to protect her from her attacker.

“Unfortunately, they haven’t acted so far, they’ve already murdered Victoria and the case is being followed up,” he said.

Salazar died last Saturday after being overpowered and suffocated by police in Tulum. In a video circulating on social media, the woman is heard complaining of being overpowered by the police and in another video she is already motionless in front of the eyes of the men in uniform.

The police are already in custody and will be brought before a judge to be charged with the crime of femicide, punishable by 50 years in prison.

After the murder Feminist groups across the country have decided to come out and protest to demand justice for Victoria. In Mexico City, the groups gathered at the Revolution Monument to begin the march; shouting “My friends take care of me, not the police“,”Not one more murdered“and”Justice”, They walked along the Paseo de la Reforma and at the height of the Angel of Independence, they joined Florence.

Shouting “We were all”, the contingent advanced in the direction of the Zócalo in the capital. The march was held to demand an end to femicides and violence against women, as well as to demand justice for the death of Victoria Salazar at the hands of the Quintana Roo state police.

The march is accompanied by the female police of Ateneas, a group made up exclusively of women, trained to monitor and cover events with a female presence, made up of 337 elements. The Marabunta Peace Humanitarian Brigade also accompanies the demonstrators.

Since the early hours of this Friday, metal plates have been placed to protect monuments and buildings; the plaques were installed on the esplanade of the monument to the Revolution, in government buildings, monuments of Avenida Juárez and part of the historic center to avoid damage.
