VIDEO: A "yellow vest" loses a hand during demonstrations in Paris

The thirteenth step of the yellow vests began today, divided in two and caused by riots in the main demonstration in Paris. A young man lost a hand when he blew up a tear gas grenade launched by the riot police.

The French newspaper Le Monde reported that the demonstrator had lost a hand and that he had been evacuated from the area by firefighters.

Meanwhile, the BFM TV channel, citing police sources, said the man had seized a tear gas teargun launched by the riot police with the intention of sending it back to the agents, but that the device had exploded by hand and had torn it.

The clashes took place at the door of the National Assembly, seat of the French Parliament. Police said 10 people were arrested during the demonstration in Paris, according to Le Monde.
