Video: an old woman confronted a thief and recovered her wallet

Surveillance cameras in an Australian store captured the moment when an elderly person confronted a thief and retrieved his belongings. The incident happened in January of this year on the Gold Coast, in the state of Queensland, but the footage was released in the last hours. As reported by local police, the thief managed to escape after returning what had been stolen, but was caught hours later.

The robbery victim was celebrating her birthday at a bar when a man grabbed her bag. At this time, the woman began to chase the thief and confronted him in a public parking lot.

After struggling for a few moments, the woman is dragged to the ground, since at no time does she let go of her things. After insisting for a few moments, the man decides to leave the premises and the victim gets his wallet.

As can be seen in the video, after the confrontation, the woman stopped and returned to the bar where she was with her bag. In the wake of the fight, the old woman suffered from broken ribs, cuts and bruises. Although the thief fled at the time, police have opened an investigation from which they were able to identify the man, who is due to testify in court this week.
