Thinking it could be “a boulder or a shipwreck,” the researchers used an underwater robot to explore the sea creature that caught their attention due to its large size.

This species normally grows up to 60 centimeters but in some atypical cases it can reach 20 meters in length. The last discovery dates from October 2016 and measured 9 meters.
