A British Airways plane from London was forced to land in Malaga after the impossibility of doing so in Gibraltar because of the strong wind that it was blowing.

The plane was approaching Gibraltar airport when severe turbulence prevented the pilot from taking a safety flight path to land.

The pilot chose to fly to another airport, but discovered new turbulence during the ascent, forcing the aircraft to make a series of sharp turns during very sharp but safe maneuvers.

The images, captured by a neighbor of Gibraltar and broadcast on social networks, show how the strong wind shakes a plane at 90 degrees on both sides.

The landing went off without injuries and the pbadengers were driven to Gibraltar by bus and arrived at the airport four hours later than expected.

Gibraltar Airport is one of the most complex to do take-off and landing maneuvers when the wind is blowing in the Strait, so cancellations are usual when violent gusts occur.
