Video: the driver of this Tesla is asleep at 88 km / h (and the companion too)

A Mbadachusetts man posted a video on social networks that seems to show Tesla's driver sleeping while the car is driving on a fast lane.

Tesla cars have an autopilot function, but the company says drivers are required to remain vigilant.

The user Dakota Randall said that he had filmed Sunday the video showing the driver, upside down. Randall said the car was a Tesla. In the pbadenger seat, another person seems to be sleeping too.

The video was recorded on the Turnpike in Newton and Randall says the car was traveling between 88 and 96 km / h and was honking to try to wake the driver.

State police said they were aware of the video.

A spokesman for Tesla said that a monitoring system repeatedly reminded drivers to remain vigilant and prohibited the use of the autopilot when these warnings were ignored.
