Video: The terrifying moment when a trainer is attacked by a circus tiger | the Chronicle

In the last hours a shocking video of when a tiger attacked a trainer during a circus performance in northern China. The brutal episode occurred in Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province.

The animal suddenly rushed at its trainer and pinned him to the ground. At that point, three staff members interceded and rushed to rescue their colleague. As can be seen in the pictures, one of them uses a stick to repeatedly hit the tiger to try to scare it.

Three coaches suffered injuries to varying degrees and one of them lost a finger. Since the tiger was inside the cage, no members of the public were injured.

The tiger reportedly had its teeth removed, which caused only minor injuries to the trainers.
