Vietnamese authorities deported Kim Jong's impersonator Monday – a few hours before the North Korean leader arrives in Hanoi for a state visit and a summit with US President Donald Trump on Wednesday and Thursday.
Three officers escorted the comedian, known as Howard Xat the airport of the capital, where he embarked for a flight of the Vietnamese-flagged airline bound for Singapore, the comedian himself posted on his Facebook account.
Police arrested the imitator on Friday for questioning. He is a Chinese citizen and lives in Hong Kong. and told him that his visa was not "valid".
"My real crime is to look like the president of North Korea", says the comedian, who also published a photo where he says goodbye in Trump's mimic departure terminal, Russell White, to whom the local authorities allow to stay in the country several days more.
The real Kim Jong-un must arrive between Monday and Tuesday by train to Hanoi to happen a state visit to Vietnam before the summit to be held on December 27 and 28 with the President of the United States.
During the first visit of a North Korean leader to Vietnam since the reunification of the country in 1975, Kim will meet the President of Vietnam and the Secretary General of the ruling Communist Party, Nguyen Phu Trong, in the presidential palace of Hanoi.
Kim and Trump will hold their second summit in the Vietnamese capital, after meeting for the first time in Singapore in June 2018.
It is hoped that this new meeting will help move forward in the dialogue on the abandonment of the nuclear arsenal by the North Korean regime, which has barely progressed since the first meeting between the two presidents.
