Virgin of Lourdes: what you need to know if you are going to participate in the pilgrimage

On the occasion of the pilgrimage to the Virgin of Lourdes, scheduled this Sunday in the city of Alta Gracia, the police of Cordoba ordered a special operation to organize the visit and protect the thousands of faithful who will participate in this traditional event.

On the road

• They expect about 150,000 faithful throughout the day
• The main concentration of Cordoba will be at Las Flores Roundabout and Plaza de las Américas.
• From 14, they will cut the highway 5 at the height of the rotunda of the Catholic University, in the hand that goes to Alta Gracia, to allow the pbadage of the faithful.
• While the hand of Alta Gracia will be returned to Cordoba, it will be reserved for the exclusive use of emergency vehicles and residents of nearby cities
• Traffic on the road will be normal from 11am on Monday
• Tourists are asked to return from the Calamuchita Valley area on Sunday, to do so by the city of Embalse, then to take Route 36.

In Alta Gracia

The municipality of High Grace has also provided for a traffic restriction according to the following scheme.

Services

• Bathroom They will be distributed in the terminal (14 bathrooms and 2 for the disabled). At the entrance of the cave (10 bathrooms and 2 for the disabled). At the municipal campsite (6 bathrooms and 2 for disabled). The others are badigned to services.
• Hydration positions. They will be placed in the cave and in the municipal campsite.
