Volkswagen will suspend its 3,900 employees at the Pacheco plant for eight days

With declining sales, the automotive market is continuing with suspensions staff and factory shutdowns. This is the case of the Volkswagen company that will suspend employees of its factory in the city of Pacheco, in the province of Buenos Aires.

This cessation of production will affect the 3,900 factory employees, where the Amarok model is manufactured today. The reasons for the suspensions are related to the decrease in the demand for cars but, in addition, another factor is added: The Suran model has recently been abandoned and until the end of the year will not start with the pre-production production of the new Tarek SUV.

In March, VW launched a system of 300 rotary suspensions at Pacheco. The company's sources then indicated that the measure only concerned this year and that they would examine it each month so as not to affect the production plan. In the Cordoba factory, money boxes, no suspension was made.

There's a lot companies in the sector obliged to set up systems for suspending and shutting down factories especially during the months of March and April. For the moment, no other suspension has been announced for May.
