Seattle – Washington and Oregon are preparing for a big winter storm after Seattle was paralyzed this week by a snowfall and more than 148,000 customers they ran out of electricity in Michigan after several days of freezing rain.
Many companies closed in Seattle early Friday as it was beginning to snap for workers to arrive home safely, and flights were canceled between that city and Portland, Oregon.
The schools had already canceled their courses before the arrival of the storm, which should project between 10 and 20 centimeters of snow.
The meteorologists said that Portland could accumulate up to 10 inches of snow and that two more blizzards are expected to hit the city next week.
In Michigan, the electricity company Consumers Energy announced Sunday that it would resume service in most homes affected by power outages.
