During his speech before the United Nations General Assembly, Arce referred to the collapse of constitutional order in Bolivia which occurred due to the actions of “politicians who do not have the support of the people at the ballot box, of the poor police and armed forces, of the hierarchy. In this line, the Bolivian President condemned the participation of the Organization of American States (OAS), “By its secretary general, Luis Almagro” and “other governments like that of Mauricio Macri which sent arms and ammunition to the putschists”. He also assured that “representatives of the European Union and other non-governmental organizations” had played a role in the institutional breakdown.

“Our commitment to the Bolivian people is that justice be done for the 38 lives lost, hundreds of injured and human rights violations,” Arce told world leaders.

In July this year, the Bolivian government denounced that the administration of Mauricio Macri had sent “war material” in order to collaborate in the repression of hundreds of citizens who demonstrated against the inauguration of the de facto president, Jeanine. nose.

“The pandemic has demonstrated the fragility of our societies and our States, generating unprecedented impacts on health, the economy, education, among others,” said the president.

In addition, he noted that capitalism “has commercialized all areas of social life, and health does not escape its tentacles”.

In this sense, he argued that medical science “must be at the service of humanity”. For that, called on international laboratories to “release patents and share knowledge and technology to produce vaccines, and by means of a common effort to “guarantee” immediate access to all peoples of all countries of the world ”.

Besides, He called on the United Nations to work to “prevent the hoarding of vaccines” and promote “universal fair and equitable access”.

Finally, ARCE raised the issue of access to resources available to countries in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa. This is why he proposed “to move forward in external debt relief to support social policies in favor of populations in vulnerable situations”.
