What are the best universities in Mexico and what place do they occupy in the world

As every year, the portal Symonds watercolors (QS) has published its ranking of the best universities in the world (World University Rankings 2022), where the National Autonomous University of Mexico (A) is the best positioned in the country, ranking in the place 105 out of a total of 1,300 study houses, both public and private.

For classification, QS used a methodology in which he was evaluated six measures y con diferente ponderación: Reputación académica (40%), Proporción de profesores / estudiantes (20%), Citas por facultad (20%), Reputación del empleador (10%), Proporción de profesores internacionales y Proporción de estudiantes internacionales (5%) each).

In the case of Mexico, 24 competing establishments in the ranking, being the best evaluated UNAM with a 58.3 overall rating. It is even the second best in Latin America, only behind the Argentine University of Buenos Aires (UBA), which is ranked 69, with a score of 67.9.

At the national level, it is followed by Monterrey Technological what was left in 161 worldwide and 5 in Latin America, with a score of 48.2. In the third place of the same element is the University Panamerica (551-560 worldwide); fourthly the Anahuac University of Mexico (601-650 global) and the fifth site is the Iberoamerican University (701-750 worldwide).

It should be noted that in the top 10 in Mexico, the Autonomous University of Metropolitana (HOW? ‘OR’ WHAT) and the Autonomous University of Hidalgo State (WATER).

The QS noted in its report that this year’s ranking was launched at a difficult time for everyone, with the Covid-19 pandemic impacting both universities and students.
