The United Kingdom announced on Thursday that as of October 11, Argentina leave your “Red List” which includes the countries considered to be the most exposed to the coronavirus.

With this new measure, the movement of people of all nationalities between the two countries is allowed.

This was announced by the British Embassy in Buenos Aires through a press release, while recalling that our country “not yet part of the UK vaccination recognition program”.

“Until today, the certificates issued by the Argentine government are not part of the vaccination certificate recognition system from the United Kingdom. This means that, if you are traveling to England with an Argentinian vaccination certificate, you will have to follow the same rules as an unvaccinated person, ”he adds.

In this context, those traveling from Argentina must undergo a coronavirus test within 3 days before their trip to England; book and pay for the covid 19 tests on days 2 and 8, which will take place after your arrival in England; and complete a locate form.

When arriving in the UK you must quarantine for 10 days, take a covid test no later than day 2 and or after day 8. These tests must be booked before traveling.

The “red list”

Thus, the British government withdrew 47 countries out of 54 and territories that made up its “red list” of international travel restrictions due to Covid-19, leaving just seven, all located in Latin America and the Caribbean.

As of October 11, only travel to England from Colombia, Ecuador, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Peru and Venezuela will continue to be reserved exclusively for British citizens and residents.

They will still have to complete 10 days of mandatory quarantine in hotels designated by the government but paid for by travelers.

Among the 47 countries and territories that will be released from this restriction next Monday are the rest of the region, from Argentina to Mexico, via Brazil or Cuba.

“We are making it easier to reunite families and loved ones, drastically reducing the number of Red List destinations, thanks in part to increased vaccination efforts around the world,” said Transport Minister Grant Shapps.
