Wheat and corn hikes at the Chicago market

Prices of major grains closed with most increases in the Chicago futures market. Wheat contracts ended the day with benchmark market increases for different technical purchases.

For example, wheat 09/19 rose from 1.38 USD (0.76%) to 181.70 USD per tonne. However, this price trend is finding resistance in the development of the US grain harvest.

For its part, corn futures have finished higher because the excess moisture in productive areas of the US Midwest generates uncertainty about crop yields. Thus, corn 09/19 increased from 2.26 USD (1.43%) to 159.54 USD per ton.

Some badysts argue that 30% of cereal crops is at risk for issues related to climatic factors.

Meanwhile, soybean futures closed the day in the Chicago market, with no change to the August position, which ended at $ 312.41. In turn, among its by-products, flour increased from $ 2.76 (0.85%) to $ 3,225.07; and oil dropped $ 9.48 (1.52%) to $ 611.99.
